LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight до краев наполнена пасхалками, что перечислить их все практически невозможно.

TT Games packed the game with hidden references and jokes – nods to past Batman stories and other famous video games. Players are constantly finding new ‘easter eggs,’ and it’s unclear if all of them have even been discovered yet!

But some definitely stand out. Here are eight of the most iconic easter eggs in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight (so far),

SpongeBob and Squidward’s Houses

It’s surprisingly possible to discover SpongeBob SquarePants’ pineapple home and Squidward’s Moai-inspired house hidden within the LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight video game!

If you look out of the windows from the Iceberg Lounge, you can actually see these two iconic cartoon homes side-by-side. I didn’t know Bikini Bottom was actually in Gotham City!

Resident Evil 4 Reference in the Bat-Mite

When you enter the Bat-Mite Store, Bat-Mite tries to mimic the Merchant from Resident Evil 4, quoting his famous line, «What’re ya buyin’?» In some cases, he’s even seen wearing the same face covering as the Merchant.

Bat-Mite doesn’t perform the trick as smoothly as the Merchant. He stops mid-performance, claiming it strains his voice, and then questions how he even managed it.

American Psycho Card Scene

In one part of the game, Bruce Wayne slides his business card across a desk, and an NPC immediately starts complimenting the block’s craftsmanship and asking about the eggshell stationery.

This scene is a recreation from the movie American Psycho. Interestingly, the same actor, Christian Bale – known for playing Batman in The Dark Knight films – also starred as Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Want to Eat Batman

While exploring Gotham, Batman stumbles upon an animatronic bear that wants to eat him.

This refers to the popular video game series Five Nights at Freddy’s, where scary robot animals, including Freddy Fazbear, try to harm people.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Quoted

During a fight with the Penguin, he quotes a line from the black comedy sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia to you. He says, «So anyway, I started blasting.»

This memorable line is delivered by Frank Reynolds, the character portrayed by Danny DeVito. DeVito is also known for his role as the Penguin in the 1992 film, Batman Returns.

Batman Smashes Car Street Fighter Style

During a part when Batman breaks Black Mash’s car, he does so in a way that mirrors the Bonus Stage in Street Fighter 2.

For those unaware, the Bonus Stage has players smashing a vehicle to earn bonus points. The way Batman does it is a clear homage to the Capcom classic, and it’s one of the harder easter eggs to miss.

I Think You Should Leave Reference

During a diner scene, the game references a scene from the Netflix comedy I Think You Should Leave. While the Netflix sketch shows a man attempting to buy a large amount of food to exploit the «Pay it Forward» chain, the LEGO Batman game addresses the reference a little differently.

A customer in the game jokingly asks the waiter if there are any eating challenges. The waiter replies that finishing 55 burgers, 55 milkshakes, and 55 tacos would result in being asked to leave – a reference to a running gag from a Netflix comedy show.

Alfred Quotes Michael Caine

In August 2024, Michael Cain tweeted, «Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up. Batman Begin.» The tweet went viral because Cain forgot the ‘s’ in Batman Begins.

Alfred actually says this line, complete with the mistake, in the game. It’s a bit of an inside joke for people familiar with online culture, so not everyone will get it—but those who do will recognize it.
